The Spirit of the Lord [is] upon Me, because He has anointed Me [the Anointed One, the Messiah] to preach the good news (the Gospel) to the poor; He has sent Me to announce release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to send forth as delivered those who are oppressed [who are downtrodden, bruised, crushed, and broken down by calamity], To proclaim the accepted and acceptable year of the Lord [the day  when salvation and the free favors of God profusely abound.] Luke 4:18-19 AMP

How God anointed and consecrated Jesus of Nazareth with the [Holy] Spirit and with strength and ability and power; how He went about doing good and, in particular, curing all who were harassed and oppressed by [the power of] the devil, for God was with Him. Acts 10:38 AMP

And God did unusual and extraordinary miracles by the hands of Paul, So that handkerchiefs or towels or aprons which had touched his skin were carried away and put upon the sick, and their diseases left them and the evil spirits came out of them. Acts 19:11-12 AMP

This month of December 2020, I am super excited to let you know that its Our month of Extra – Ordinary Miracles. Amen! You may ask, why?

Reasons being anytime God send us a word, there are;

  1. It has a curative effect (Psalm 107:20)
  2. It has a therapeutic effect (Hebrews 4:12, Psalm 19:7)
  3. It has a rejuvenating effect (Job 12:13 – 16)
  4. It has remediating effect (Psalm 62:11)
  5. Needs to be meet
  6. Faith is required

There are two words in the Greek Dictionary used to describe the word Miracle.

  1. Dunamis meaning power, inherent ability, might works, its used to describe works of supernatural origin and character, such that could not be produced by natural agent and means.
  2. Semeion meaning a sign, a token, it is used of signs and wonders. The signs of divine authority.

Miracles are an event that appears inexplicable by the laws of nature and so is held to be supernatural in origin.

It’s a fortunate outcome that prevails despite overwhelming odds against it.

It is an awesome and exceptional example of something.

Why we say it is Extra-Ordinary?

Extra means beyond what is due, usual, expected or necessary, extraneous, over the top, superior, going beyond the normal.

Extraordinary means Not ordinary, exceptional, unusual, remarkably good, special or supernumerary, noteworthy, outstanding, and unparalleled.

So I say to you get ready for EXTRA – ORDINARY MIRCALES in the name of Jesus. Amen!

Hear this; Any time Miracles happen even in the scripture days its always shows the inadequacy of Man and the divine adequacy and sufficiency of God.

Let’s glean from the Gospel of John, SEVEN miracles which happen in the day-to-day interactions of Jesus, while He walked on this Earth.

  1. The changing of Water into Wine (John 2: 1 – 11) Jesus has power over the quality of Life.
  2. The healing of the nobleman’s son (John 4:46 – 54) Jesus has power over space.
  3. The healing of impotent man (John 5:1 – 9) Jesus has power over time and seasons of Life.
  4. The feeding of the five Thousand (John 6:8 – 21) Jesus has power over quantity.
  5. The Walking on the Water John (6:16 – 21) Jesus has power over natural laws of nature.
  6. The healing of the Blind Man (John 9:1 – 12) Jesus has power over misfortune of Life.
  7. The raising of Lazarus (John 11:1 – 46) Jesus has power over death and mystery of Life.

Anytime Miracles happen even in the scripture days it always shows the inadequacy of Man and the divine adequacy and sufficiency of God.

God helping us we would x-ray in details each of this Miracles, so as to understand that Miracles can still happen in our own World too.

  1. THE CHANGING OF WATER INTO WINE (John 2: 1 – 11)

This is recorded as the very first miracle of Jesus Christ as He began his ministry on Earth; to announce and reveal the glory of God publicly. Hear this, Ordinary Miracles happen in our closet but Extra – ordinary Miracles are for the public showing of the glory and power of God over Human inadequacy.

This miracle signifies the replacement of old religion (Judaism) with the new one (Christianity) Mark 2:19 – 22.

If you agree with me the properties of Water (tasteless, colourless, odourless, neutral pH) could be used to characterize our lives. (To being tasteless, without value, no colourful, and without any fragrance or form, having no impact) but when Christ appeared to the scene; Life became extra-ordinarily miraculous.

Wine in the Jews tradition gives LIFE and STRENGTH and makes the heart of Man glad.

Eccl 10:19 A feast is made for laughter, and wine makes life merry, but money is the answer for everything.

You as Man, have no inherent strength to save yourself, Jesus presents to you the Wine of Grace. Come and drink, for there is still room available before it becomes too late. (Too late it will be, when you close your eyes in death). The first sign is of Transformation. Lives get transformed when Jesus enters such life. The only visible and lasting transformation that can be experienced by men and women is only found in Jesus. None of which, we can help ourselves to achieve. The highest we can try is just for a few weeks or months, pretending to have changed, but transformation is eternal.

Jesus is willing to reveal himself to us as He did at that Wedding ceremony.

Jesus is willing to save us from all embarrassment of yesteryears.

Jesus is willing to save us from the scorning and jests for years to come.

Jesus is willing to share His ever excellent quality of life with you; making your daily social interactions a feast of unending laughter.

No religion or historian have disproof that Jesus is the Miracle worker; even after many days after leaving Earth. But the greatest Miracle, Jesus is doing is the Miracle of Transforming Life. Giving your Life Meaning. This is only possible, if you open your heart wide and receive Him. John 1:12 – 13.

He came to that which belonged to Him [to His own — His domain, creation, things, world], and they who were His own did not receive Him and did not welcome Him. But to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the authority (power, privilege, right) to become the children of God, that is, to those who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) His name. Who owe their birth neither to  bloods nor to the will of the flesh [that of physical impulse] nor to the will of man [that of a natural father], but to God. [They are born of God!]

Accept Jesus today, He will transform your life!
